The Auxiliary to the ACOFP is grateful for the support of our families, friends, and colleagues. Last year, the Auxiliary raised about $30,000 for osteopathic resident and new physician leadership training, osteopathic student educational programs at the ACOFP Annual Convention and osteopathic student awards. This year, we are hoping to raise $50,000 for these programs. In order to reach our goal, we need your help. Please support our annual awards campaign by selecting the appropriate level on the sponsorship form. Any sponsorship level you select will be greatly appreciated. Auxiliary support provides assistance for qualified osteopathic medical students who are active members of the school’s ACOFP student chapter and intend to enter an AOA approved family medicine residency program.
The Auxiliary will accept 2018 sponsorship forms before and throughout the Annual ACOFP Convention.
FUTURE LEADERS CONFERENCE SUPPORT
The Auxiliary annually provides support to the ACOFP Future Leaders Conference, which is designed to teach selected new physicians in practice and family medicine residents who are interested in achieving a greater awareness of their leadership style so they can make a greater impact in the profession and in ACOFP. RESIDENT SPOUSE OPPORTUNITY DRAWING
The Auxiliary to the ACOFP offers the spouses and/or significant others of residents who are taking the certification board exam the opportunity to win a $300 stipend. Residents must be currently enrolled in an AOA-approved Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency, registered to take the certification board exam, and registered to attend the ACOFP Convention & Scientific Seminars. Letters with an entry form are sent to all registered residents in January. Spouses must return a completed entry form and winners are randomly chosen and notified. The stipends are distributed to the lucky winning spouses at an Auxiliary meeting during the ACOFP spring convention.
